Chicago Cupcake Kids Sale 2014

Attention Chicago-land bakeries! On Saturday, May 3rd we, The Cupcake Kids, would like to invite you to celebrate “International Cupcake Kids Day” with us. The Cupcake Kids have been raising funds with our annual Cupcake Kids sale for over 3 years. This year we’re asking you, the bakeries, to get involved and share the frosting! This would be a great way to do what you do best, and help the imprisoned children in Africa.

Who are the Cupcake Kids?
The Cupcake Kids was really the kids’ idea. They had been watching their parents becoming involved with a ministry in Uganda, Africa called Sixty Feet and they wanted to help out in their own way. So, they asked if they could sell cupcakes and lemonade at the end of their driveway. So they gathered some friends, designed a sign or two, baked some adorable cupcakes and sat out on the street corner. In April of 2011, they had their very first International Cupcake Kids sale. They raised $400. The following weekend they raised $10,000. Here is their story.

Since that first cupcake stand The Cupcake Kids have had over 200 sales in 35 states and 5 countries! Children all over the world have helped to raise over $280,000 for the imprisoned children of Africa!

Who is Sixty Feet?
Sixty Feet is a nonprofit organization offering hope and restoration to the imprisoned children of Africa, in Jesus’ name. We do this through meeting their immediate needs: Food, Clean Water, Shelter, Medical Needs, and Mentoring. As well as meeting their long term needs: Justice, Counseling, Education and The Gospel. To learn more about their work and the children they serve, please visit, or contact them at [email protected].

We would love for you to partner with us on Saturday, May 3rd as we hold a city wide cupcake stand in Chicago. How can you help?

  • Offer a portion of your proceeds from your bakery on May 4th (or any day that you choose) to benefit Sixty Feet.
  • Bake a specialty cupcake for Sixty Feet and donate all proceeds from that cupcakes sale to Sixty Feet.
  • Make a tax deductible donation to Sixty Feet.
  • Permit us to set a small table tent with information about The Cupcake Kids on your counter for the day.

Thank you in advance for considering this request. We believe that this is an incredible, yet simple way for children, families and you, to get involved in giving back to those who so desperately need help.

100% of the proceeds go directly to our work on the ground with these kids and caring for their needs. None of the money raised goes to administrative costs or overhead.
